Canpac Acquires Packaging Business of Saptagiri Packagings with ELP’s Advisory

MUMBAI, April 18, 2025 — Canpac Trends Private Limited (Canpac) has successfully acquired the packaging business of Saptagiri Packagings Private Limited, further strengthening its presence in the packaging industry and expanding its geographical reach. As part of this strategic move, Canpac will also add blister backer cards to its product portfolio.

Economic Laws Practice (ELP) acted as deal counsel for Canpac, offering comprehensive legal support throughout the transaction. The firm advised on all aspects of the deal, including conducting legal due diligence, and drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing the definitive and ancillary documents. The transaction involved detailed negotiations tailored to the unique dynamics of the deal, addressing multiple conditions and contingencies to ensure balanced protection for all stakeholders.

The ELP transaction team comprised Abhishek Sanyal (Partner), Jishnu Dhar (Principal Associate), Daryl Menezes (Senior Associate), Simran Yadav (Associate), and Kingshuk Saga (Associate).
