NOIDA, April 02, 2025 — Inttl Advocare, one of India’s leading law firms specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology law, has announced the elevation of Mamta Jha as the Co-Managing Partner of the firm, effective April 1, 2025.
Founded in 1991 by Hemant Singh, Inttl Advocare has established itself as a leading name in IP and IT law in India. With a client-centric approach and an unwavering commitment to excellence, the firm provides a broad spectrum of legal services, from IP litigation and prosecution to advisory on cutting-edge areas such as data protection, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital media laws.
With this elevation, Mamta Jha will share the leadership mantle alongside Hemant Singh, assuming a greater strategic and managerial role in the firm’s ongoing evolution. This appointment is a key step in the firm’s succession planning and its commitment to institutionalising the practice for sustainable growth. An alumnus of Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Mamta brings over 25 years of experience in the legal profession, with a primary focus on Intellectual Property litigation and enforcement. As Senior Partner and Head of Litigation & Opposition, she has led numerous high-stakes IP disputes and has been instrumental in shaping litigation strategy for the firm’s marquee clients. Her areas of expertise include trademarks, patents, copyrights, industrial designs, geographical indications, domain name disputes, trade secrets, unfair competition, and regulatory compliance. She also advises on emerging legal issues around artificial intelligence, NFTs, blockchain, data protection, and digital ecosystems. Her counsel is trusted by domestic and global clients across diverse industries.
On this momentous occasion for the firm, Hemant Singh, Founder and Managing Partner, commented, “As a growing law firm, it is essential for us to think beyond the present and lay down a strong succession plan—one that ensures the continued growth and institutionalisation of the firm beyond me as an individual. It is imperative to identify and nurture leadership early on, someone who not only brings exceptional legal expertise but also deeply aligns with the firm’s long-term vision. Mamta embodies all those qualities—she is immensely talented, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to our ethos. Her alignment with the culture and vision of Inttl Advocare makes her the ideal choice to share in the leadership of the firm. I am pleased to announce her promotion as Co-Managing Partner, to contribute to and strengthen the management of the firm and support its expansion. This is the right time for such a transition, as we work together to build the firm into an institution where passionate professionals can pursue their dreams and thrive. My role now will evolve more into that of a mentor—guiding Mamta as she takes on a larger leadership role and helping her hone the skills necessary to carry the firm forward.”
Mamta Jha, Co-Managing Partner, also commented, “It is a privilege to take on the role of Co-Managing Partner at Inttl Advocare. I have had the opportunity to grow with the firm and witness its evolution into a leading force in IP and technology law. I am deeply grateful for the trust and mentorship of Hemant Sir. While the recognition comes from the acknowledgement of my journey with the firm, I am looking at it as a great opportunity to further build Inttl Advocare into an IP and Tech Powerhouse. I am looking at building the leadership at the firm by onboarding more Partners and Practice Heads who will leverage the platform given by Inttl Advocare to contribute to the innovation economy in India and globally. With the right balance of independence and accountability, Inttl Advocare is the right balance for more leaders to join us and grow our service bouquet. With the wishes of my clients and the support of my colleagues, I look forward to contributing to the next chapter of growth of the firm.”
She further added, “To add to this, our existing team leaders are being groomed to take up management roles from the formative years of their leadership journey. We will soon be announcing the constitution of our Management Committee, which will help us take new initiatives and also shoulder management of business support functions at the firm. And as the leaders grow in alignment with the firm’s values and vision, I am also eager to invite young talent to join the firm, providing them with the resources and mentorship to build their careers and reach their highest potential.”
Notably, the firm is being assisted by the management consulting company Legal League Consulting (founded by Bithika Anand) in its succession planning, leadership mentoring, and constitution of the Management Committee for the governance of business support. CEO Nipun K Bhatiaa is leading the project.
