IndusLaw has continued to rebuild its capabilities across the board, adding G Madhusudhana as a partner in its Bengaluru-based real estate practice.
Madhusudhana joins from Lexplexus, where he had been a partner for about a year. Prior to that, he led the legal department of RMZ Corp, a well-known real estate developer in the city, for over 16 years.
Following a spate of partner departures earlier, IndusLaw has now added three this month and five this year. Earlier in November, capital markets partner Kaushik Mukherjee and banking and finance partner Nitika Jain joined the firm, both in Mumbai. IndusLaw rebuilt its employment practice with the addition of Debjani Aich in Bengaluru, and brought back corporate lawyer Siddharth Manchanda in Mumbai after a two-year stint as general counsel at edtech company Unacademy.
At RMZ, Madhusudhana managed high-value investments and joint ventures with global entities like AIG Global Real Estate and Qatar Investment Authority. He handled compliance, investor relations and corporate governance, apart from holding directorial positions in multiple special-purpose vehicles.
His experience includes transaction structuring, commercial leasing and title due diligence. He has also handled complex civil and commercial disputes in the real estate sector before various legal forums, including the high courts, city civil courts, and tribunals, including arbitration.
Madhusudhana earlier worked with Dua Associates and J. Sagar Associates.
“His extensive experience in this sector will enable us to expand our corporate real estate offerings to our clients,” said Gaurav Dani and Suneeth Katarki, IndusLaw’s founding partners in a statement.
