Berkeley alumnus Akshat Agrawal Launches ASA Chambers After Tenure At Saikrishna & Associates

New Delhi, Oct 01, 2025 —

Former Saikrishna & Associates Senior Associate Akshat Agrawal has announced the launch of his independent practice, ASA Chambers, focusing on intellectual property (IP), media, entertainment, and technology litigation. Agrawal, who notably represented music composer A.R. Rahman in his appeal against Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, brings significant expertise in copyright and media disputes.

During his tenure at Saikrishna & Associates, he advised several leading content platforms on high-stakes litigation. ASA Chambers will primarily offer outside counsel services to clients and law firms, with an emphasis on litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy in specialised IP matters.

“I will be particularly leveraging my expertise and experience in copyright law to provide focused counsel to clients in complex disputes,” Agrawal stated. An alumnus of UC Berkeley School of Law, Agrawal completed his LLM with a thesis titled Resolving Copyright’s Distortionary Effects, which received Google’s Global Award for Most Inclusive Copyright Thesis in 2023. He holds his law degree from Jindal Global Law School.
