Juris Prime has opened a new office in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh as well as adding partners Satya Venkat Rao and Vivek Chaudhary who have corporate advisory and project finance expertise.
“Vizag has been witnessing significant economic growth. The ongoing infrastructural development in Visakhapatnam has resulted in investors, both local and international, taking a keen interest as well as establishing their presence,” the Juris Prime team said.
“The concentrated economic activities across industries demands heavy legal services, and we see an opportunity to associate with corporates in their journey at Visakhapatnam. As a strategic plan to improve our firm’s brand in the Telugu states, we have opened our new branch at Visakhapatnam.”
Rao, who will be the residential partner at Juris Prime’s Visakhapatnam office, recently retired as deputy managing director of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). He has a 32-year career in banking, finance, project finance, corporate advisory and litigation. Previously, he served as executive director of the IFCI, a public financial institution, before joining the SIDBI.
“The firm has earned a very distinct reputation not only amongst its clients but also in the legal fraternity as a whole,” said Rao.
“With its credentials well established, I am keen to utilise my legal knowledge and experience through a well-established firm. I found Juris Prime to be the appropriate place for serving clients and in turn society … I believe it is the perfect place for me to offer my expertise.”
Choudhary will contribute to the corporate commercial practice team. In his 16-year legal career, he has had extensive expertise in advising a diverse range of national and multinational corporations, startups and high-net-worth individuals.
“Juris Prime excels in corporate and commercial laws by offering tailored legal solutions that adapt to evolving business landscapes. With a stellar reputation and a track record of excellence, Juris Prime stands as a symbol of trust and innovation in the corporate legal realm,” added Choudhary.
